Room 12 Class PE

Every Wednesday Room 12 has PE with Mr Smith.

He teaches us how to throw and catch balls, hit and kick balls and all sorts of sporting skills. We even learn games where we can put our skills to the test against one another and have a lot of fun.
Every odd week, the Year 1's have Junior Sport altogether. 

Musical Mondays!

Every Monday afternoon this term, Ms Laxon comes to our classroom to take music. We love playing the different instruments to the beat, singing and dancing!

Tuesday is Library Day

Bubbles!

As a follow up from our shared book "Bubbles" we went outside to blow some of our own. We had so much fun blowing, chasing, catching and popping the bubbles as they went up, up, up!

2018!

I can't believe we are already halfway through term one!
Everyone is settling into new routines and making new friendships.

Buddy Reading
Our buddy class is Room 19 - some of us are lucky because we have a sister or brother or cousin in Mrs Ngan's class! We spent some time with them reading our favourite books:

Growing Cress:
As part of our Inquiry, Rooms 11 and 12 grew some cress on Friday afternoon.

First we put cotton wool into a container

...and look what popped up on Monday morning ... CRESS!!

In a couple of weeks we can EAT it!

Room 10's Plays Over the last couple of weeks we have been learning to speak with expression and work cooperatively in a group. Mrs Orange thought that working together to put a play on would be a good idea. Here's the end result ... Hope you enjoy them all!

Howick Historical Village Trip

Howick Historical Village

We had a great day exploring the Howick Historical Village, learning all about life in the 1850's.

We enjoyed playing with all the different toys and games, going into the school house and writing on the slate, looking through all the different houses and shops.
